Twennie Security and Privacy

Twennie is designed to support professional learning, collaboration, operational improvement, and knowledge sharing within technical consulting environments. We understand that members may discuss real workflows, project coordination challenges, leadership practices, business development strategies, and operational lessons learned.

Protecting member trust, account security, learning visibility boundaries, and professional integrity is foundational to how the platform is designed.

Account Security

Twennie uses multiple technical safeguards intended to help protect member accounts and reduce unauthorized access.

  • Secure Authentication: Account access is protected through authenticated login systems and encrypted credential handling.
  • Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA): Optional time-based multi-factor authentication (TOTP) is available to provide an additional layer of account protection beyond passwords. MFA is optional upon starting your membership. We strongly recommend protecting your account using MFA, which can be initiated in your learning dashboard.
  • Session Protection: Twennie uses session management and authentication safeguards intended to reduce the risk of unauthorized session access or misuse.
  • CSRF Protection: Cross-site request forgery protections are used to help prevent unauthorized authenticated actions within the platform.
  • Role-Based Access Controls: Access permissions differ for members, group leaders, organization administrators, and platform administrators.
  • Administrative Monitoring: Logging and monitoring tools may be used to investigate misuse, unusual activity, or violations of platform policies.

Learning Content Visibility Controls

Twennie recognizes that professional learning sometimes involves internal workflows, lessons learned, operational strategies, leadership practices, and project coordination approaches that members may not want visible to everyone.

For that reason, Twennie allows members to control visibility settings for learning units they create or upload.

  • Group-Only Visibility: Content is visible only to members within the creator’s assigned group.
  • Organization-Only Visibility: Content is visible only to members within the creator’s organization.
  • All-Member Visibility: Content is visible to Twennie members across the platform for learning purposes.

Visibility settings are selected by the member submitting the content and are respected throughout the platform experience.

Protected Document Access

Twennie uses authenticated document delivery systems intended to reduce unauthorized sharing of uploaded learning files and downloadable content.

  • Authenticated Access Checks: Access permissions are verified before protected learning files are delivered.
  • Visibility Enforcement: Download permissions are evaluated against the visibility settings chosen by the content creator.
  • Expiring Access Links: Protected file delivery may use temporary or expiring access mechanisms rather than permanent public document URLs.
  • Restricted Direct Sharing: Protected learning files are not intended to function as unrestricted public file links that can be freely passed outside approved audiences.
  • Upload Validation: Uploaded learning files may be validated and filtered to reduce unsafe or unsupported uploads.
  • Access Logging: Twennie may log download activity and protected content access events for administrative and security purposes.

Protecting Personal Information

Twennie is designed as a professional learning platform, not a social media advertising platform or data-harvesting environment.

Twennie does not sell member personal information. Member information is used primarily for:

  • Account management
  • Learning participation
  • Group and organization coordination
  • Learning progress reporting
  • Platform improvement and administration
  • Security and fraud prevention

Members are encouraged to avoid uploading confidential, regulated, proprietary, competitive, or legally restricted information to the platform under any visibility setting.

Group and Organization Separation

Twennie is structured to support separation between:

  • Individual members
  • Groups
  • Organizations
  • Platform-wide learning visibility

Content access and dashboard visibility are managed according to these boundaries and the permissions associated with each membership role.

Responsible Professional Use

Twennie exists to support professional growth, operational improvement, leadership development, and collaborative learning within technical consulting environments.

Members are expected to use the platform responsibly and professionally. Uploaded learning content should avoid:

  • Confidential client information
  • Protected legal or financial records
  • Regulated or restricted data
  • Competitive intellectual property not approved for sharing
  • Sensitive personal information belonging to others

Twennie is a learning environment, not a confidential document vault or regulated records repository.

Security Reality and Shared Responsibility

Twennie takes intentional and reasonable steps to protect member accounts, learning environments, and uploaded content. However, no online platform can guarantee absolute security.

Members also play an important role in protecting their own learning environments by:

  • Using strong passwords
  • Enabling multi-factor authentication where possible
  • Selecting appropriate visibility settings
  • Avoiding uploads of highly sensitive information
  • Managing access responsibly within their organizations and groups
  • Not sending Twennie unit links or downloads via email

Your Trust Matters

Twennie is being built around the idea that professional learning should feel constructive, collaborative, operationally useful, and trustworthy.

Protecting your work, your account, your professional relationships, and your ability to learn safely within your chosen visibility boundaries is a core part of that responsibility.

Twennie helps teams build a culture of learning through short, practical learning units, prompt sets, missions, and nuggets that connect learning directly to real work.
